One of the most fun and interesting projects I had a chance to work on during my tenure with the PGA TOUR was collaborating with Dave Pelz to gather accurate data on amateur golfers using the same ShotLink equipment that we use on the pros. Our team would meet up with Dave and his team each fall for several years to gather data at the World Am in Myrtle Beach, SC. Like Dave, I had a career in the aerospace industry prior to transitioning into working on golf technology, so he and I shared an analytical approach to the game. It was great to work with Dave and get to know him over the years on this project. In addition to his keen mind, he was a warm, friendly man with a great sense of humor and a love of his family. He will be so missed.
