About
Located in the Hertfordshire countryside, Brocket Hall Estate is 534 acres of beauty, seclusion and tranquility, and home to two archetypical championship golf courses named after two of England’s historical prime ministers. The Melbourne Course was designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, and is surrounded by the Capability Brown inspired parkland and the meandering River Lea. The challenging Palmerston Course, one of the best courses in England, was designed by Donald Steel and Martin Ebert with minimum intrusion to the natural lands. The Hall dates to 1760 and was one of Queen Victoria’s favorite country estates. Members and guests who wish to stay at the Estate are welcome at The Melbourne Lodge, an elegant Georgian coach house conversion rich in heritage and luxury. 16 bedrooms are of the highest standard in traditional country house style furnished with original pieces from the Estate, with all the modern-day conveniences.
